Get the Look | Boys Bunkbed Bedroom Update

Maxwell has been dying to have bunk beds.  He’s had them on his mind for as long as I can remember, but I’ve always hesitated to make the purchase for two reasons:

1. Size – Most of the beds I like are much too large for his tiny bedroom, and
2. Cost – There are great quality bunk beds out there, but I was hoping to find a set that costs less than a house downpayment 🙂 (and still sturdy enough to hold a few rambunctious kids)

On a recent trip to Costco, I stumbled upon a cute wood bunk bed in grey for a really great price.  It even has 2 storage drawers below the bottom bunk (win!) I’m sure it will look great in his room so I immediately started planning a few little updates to bring the look together (without going TOO overboard)

Here’s my plan so far:

The items labeled DIY are things I’m inspired to try making (keeping costs a bit lower and hopefully adding a personal touch!)
