A Little Girl’s Playfully Pink Bedroom Reveal
I’ve been thinking about this post for months, but for some reason I just haven’t pulled the trigger. I often find myself rearranging Eva’s furniture to make it more user friendly …and yet, I still feel we haven’t quite found the most functional arrangement for her. I suspect I could be editing her room for a while 🙂

In the meantime…
Below are photos of Eva’s adorable bedroom complete with LOTS of books and a tiny desk for unlimited arts and crafts!
Although Eva has a small space to work with, I was determined to find a way to incorporate a desk into her bedroom (her one and only request). After searching high and low, I stumbled upon this tiny mint coloured desk with a lift-up top from Home Sense. Yes, she will outgrow it, but i found the desk and ghost chair for a steal, so I’m not fussed if / when we need to purchase a larger desk in a few years. Her art supplies fit perfectly in the unicorn and 1 2 3 holders, and the elephant basket has become a great spot for recycling. Tucking her papers in the desk drawer keeps them all together and out of sight.
Brad built the shelves on either side of Eva’s bed. They offer lots of storage and strategically hide an awkward vent on one side. When she was a baby, her crib fit perfectly between the shelves. It was so adorable, I really wish I had a picture to show you. Now that she’s outgrown a crib, a double bed fits nicely in the same space.
Brad also made the mobile above Eva’s bed. It’s tough to see in the pictures, but its shape is a moon with clouds and crystals that glow at night. So pretty! Speaking of clouds, the cloud wall shelf is a vintage piece we picked up in Canmore Alberta, and the Ikea frames above her bed hold pictures from a vintage barbie calendar. Eva spotted the cloud basket at Pottery Barn Kids and “had to have it for her colony of bunnies”. Someday, our home may be over-run with stuffed bunnies! Ha!
One of my favourite things in her bedroom is the side table. Eva loves having her bed low to the ground, so a tiny side table was in order. The Kartell Componibili Storage side table fit perfectly. It’s sliding doors offer easy access and allow her to keep a water bottle, tissues, and special treasures within reach.
Eva also loves to sleep in a bright room. The cloud light by A Little Lovely Company is one of her (many) favourites. You can read more about our favourite night lights here.
I still have a few things on my todo list, including:
- Painting the existing dressers OR replacing them with a narrow vintage dresser
- Updating the drapery
- Building a custom bulletin board to display Eva’s drawings
I will try to keep you posted on any changes we make down the road!
